Carolina Martins is a professional Brasilian ballet and contemporary dancer living in Germany, speaking English, German, and Portuguese language. She began her dance training in her country at the Escalada Ballet in Araçatuba and completed the Miami City Ballet School 2012 Summer Intensive Program on a scholarship. In 2013, Carolina won the silver and bronze medal at the Seminário Internacional de Dança de Brasília and continued her training in Germany at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts as a scholarship holder of the Birgit Keil Dance Foundation, where she completed her studies with a master's degree in 2017. As a student, she was already involved in productions of the Karlsruhe State Theatre of Baden such as Giselle and Sleeping Beauty — The Last Tsar's Daughter and performed at the gala evenings of the Birgit Keil Dance Foundation in 2014, 2015, and 2016. In the 2016-17 season, Carolina was a member of the ballet studio of the Karlsruhe State Theatre of Baden, where she appeared in The Nutcracker — A Christmas Story, The Little Black Dress/The Riot of Spring, and in La Sylphide. Also she toured with the company to Switzerland and Thailand. In 2016, Carolina danced as part of the guest performance of the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts in Guilherme Carola's creation E = mc². Carolina has been a member of the Karlsruhe State Theatre of Baden ensemble since the beginning of the 2017-18 season and danced here among others in the Spanish Dance of Youri Vámos' The Nutcracker — A Christmas Story. As well, she performed as one of the ceremonial couples in Jiří Bubeníček's ballet fairy tale Rusalka, as one of the three prostitutes in Sir Kenneth MacMillan's Romeo and Juliet, and one of the witches in Youri Vámos' A Midsummer Night's Dream.
